At Eastern Primary we are committed and passionate about supporting our children and their families, through investing time in building positive and strong relationships between school, children and parents. We provide families with a service that listens to their needs and supports them through their worries and struggles that may lie beyond the classroom. Parents are offered drop-in sessions, parent café and direct support.
We pride ourselves in giving opportunities to our parents in Forging Futures together, by providing life-long learning opportunities that can support parents to develop skills and gain accredited qualifications, that encourages children to see the importance and enjoyment of learning. We currently provide opportunities to gain Essential Skills Wales courses in English and Maths that are equivalent to GCSE’s, Child Care Learning and Development, Behaviour Management, Budgeting Courses and
Cooking on a Budget, are just a few courses that we offer.
We are excited to provide Parent and Children learning opportunities through Eastern Eagles activities that encourages enjoyment of learning together. Through parents’ commitment to these courses, children’s attendance and attainment increases and their willingness to learn for fun grows, helping children achieve their best possible versions of themselves. Groups such as: Dad’s Den, Mum’s Den, Science Fun, Importance of Play, and Cooking with your child are just some of the opportunities we have
on offer at Eastern Primary.
We also offer holistic family support that supports the whole family through a trauma informed lens. We support the whole family directly, and collaborate with community agencies to provide joined up work, support and direction. with a wrap around support for the whole family.
